Thinking of Sex?

Is your sex partner living with HIV or you are not sure of the Status?
Are you or someone you know into injection drug use(often sharing syringes)?
Are you into transactional sex?
Are you a commercial sex worker?
Then, you need PreP.

PreP, Pre-exposure prophylaxis,(before exposure to HIV), is a PLANNED medication taken by a negative person against HIV infection.

Having someone who is positive to HIV as a sexual partner does not affect your relationship if PreP is involved. PreP can be discontinued IF you no longer in sexual contact with the HIV positive person. PreP is taken at least, 7days before the contact. Unlike PEP, which is a medication taken after you are exposed to someone who is HIV positive, PreP is taken before exposure.

  1. It’s a good thing our health awareness is vast growing and I want to implore all persons to know their HIV status every 3months coz it’s very important.

    1. Just like stated CHIKA JAMES

PrEP should be taking 2 pills, 2-24 hours before a possible sexual exposure to HIV and then continuing to take 1 pill each day until 2 days after their last possible sexual exposure.
